Tips From a Pro: Real Estate Photography Challenges
Challenge: "Mixing indoor and outdoor light in Amarillo." It's tricky when indoor rooms are dark but it's bright outside.
- Solution: I take several photos of the same spot with different light settings. Then, later on, I mix them together using editing techniques. This way, both the inside and outside look perfect.
Challenge: "Small rooms." Old houses in Amarillo can have very tiny rooms, and it's hard to get good photos of them.
- Solution: I use a special lens that makes rooms look bigger and take a bunch of photos to stitch together. This shows off the whole room without it looking weird.
Challenge: "Crazy Amarillo weather." Our weather here changes a lot, making it hard to plan for good photo light.

I stay flexible. If it's cloudy, I make the inside lights brighter. I always have a plan B, so the house always looks cozy and bright in photos.
